5 eye problems which are common in children
Children
are too much sensitive to get infected by any disease. Even their eyes are not
any exception. But fortunately, these are easily curable. Nowadays, with the

months.

Know the Common Eye Disease in Children
1. Conjunctivitis: It is one of the most common diseases of
children which also known as “Pink Eye”. It is irritating for the baby as eyes
will become red & scratchy. There will be a flow of green & thick
yellow substance from baby’s eye. Virus or Bacteria is mainly responsible for
this problem. This problem is contagious & antibiotics are used for its
remedy.
2. Sty: Sty is the result of infected sweat gland of
the eye. You can feel something like seed on eyelid if your baby is infected.
Bacteria called Staphylococcus Aureus is mainly responsible for this. Anyone
can be infected by it and will recover within 2- 3 weeks. You can wipe your baby’s
eye with a cloth soaked in warm water to clean them.
3. Blockage in Tear Glands: Tear
Glands keeps eyes clear with the tear but some kids born with blocked tear
glands. If you massage your baby’s eye with a soft cloth soaked in warm water,
tear glands remain active. You must consult a specialist if the problem remains
same at the age of 1 of your baby.
4. Ptosis: If your baby is unable to open eyelids
properly, he is suffering from Ptosis. In few cases of Ptosis, your baby may be
seemed like cross-eyed. It is called Strabismus. Get advice from an expert if
this problem remains for more than 4 months.
5. Eyesight problem: Children
of 6- 8 month can see any person or object easily without a few exception. Your
baby will be cured of this problem naturally within 3 months. But if the
problem remains same more than that, take them to an eye specialist
immediately.
