How to cure and prevent Diaper Rashes

Diaper Rash: Basically diaper rash is an unusual state of a baby’s skin under diaper which results in itching or burning. Yeast fungus, bacteria or virus, allergic chemical (soap or perfume) are mainly responsible for it. If you found red rashes under the skin of diaper, it must be diaper rashes.

Let Us Know the Causes of Diaper Rash:

1.    Wet Diaper: Diapers with highest absorbing capacity can’t remove the moisture of your baby’s skin completely. When baby’s urine mixed with faeces it produces ammonia gas, which is very harmful to their skin. The possibility of diaper rashes increases for those babies who have frequent velocity of toilet or often suffer from diarrhoea. Besides, if your baby has sensitive skin or wears diaper for a long time may have rashes.

2. During the Time to get used to a new food: When the baby starts “Solid Food”, they may have rashes. Because babies need time to get used to with new food and at that time they may have a mild upset stomach. Even the food that a nursing mother eat can mix with the milk and make baby’s stomach upset which will result in diarrhoea. In short, frequent upset stomach, sticky faeces and excess moisture of baby’s skin may cause rash.

3. Bacterial or Fungal Infection: Soggy Diaper of the baby is the appropriate place for bacteria or fungal infection. As a result, itchy places of the baby get infected and diaper rashes.

4. Antibiotic: If anyone of you and your baby is taking antibiotics, may be infected by yeast (a kind of fungus). Because antibiotic reduces the amount of bacteria of your body that are capable of controlling the yeast. For this sometimes your baby may have diarrhoea and rash.

Is It Necessary to Take The Baby to Doctor for Diaper Rash?

Generally speaking, no, it's not necessary. If you frequently check and remove the diaper, the rash will be removed within 3- 4 days. But if you notice any kind of infection, wound, cumulus and fever, you need to consult with the doctor immediately.
