Almost every children suffer from various types of diseases till 5 years
as their immunity system don’t develop properly at that time. So you may have
to medicate your children according to the doctor. But you must follow some
rules protect your baby.

1. Medicate According to the Prescription: Always
follow the instruction of the doctor to medicate your baby. Because if they
didn’t get the right dose, it may harm your baby. Most importantly, never try
to diagnose or medicate your children by own, always consult with the doctor.
2. Don’t Give Expired Medicine: Children
are always sensitive to medicines. So before purchasing you must check the
package and expiry date of the medicine. Because expired dated medicines are
life threatening to your children.
You also have to dump the liquid medicines after using but tablets or
capsules can be used till their expiry date.
3. Must Follow the Time Schedule: You must
follow the time schedule to give medicine to your child. If the doctor advice
to give the medicine with milk or other food, or to take them before having
food, you should follow the instruction properly. Otherwise, it may harm your
children.
4. Follow the Right Dosage: Giving the right dose of
medicine to your child is most important. You can do it by dosing syringe,
plastic dropper, dosing cup or you may mix it with a little soft food. But
never feed with your kitchen spoon or by mixing with the milk.
5. Never Medicate pretending to play: If you
introduce the medicine as chocolate to your child, they may try excessive dose
for fun. After vomiting of the first dose, take your baby to a registered
pharmacist immediately. It is better to avoid injections and suppository
instead of medicating through the mouth.
6. Follow the Proper Process: Use drugs measuring cup,
spoon, oral syringe, droppers to give medicines to your baby. But most
importantly, you should understand the measuring lines. While feeding medicine
to a small child, it will be better to put the syrup at the corner of the lip.
7. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children: You can
keep medicines at a high place in a closed box. Otherwise, they may eat them
and as a result, their life could be at risk.
Usually, parents are responsible for taking care of their children and a
